28th September

Yesterday,as a media class we attended a music video exhibition. The purpose of the exhibition was to display creative and surprising art pieces from many different artist around the world. The exhibition was located at The Strand in a very charismatic building. The location was large and there was a lot of space to walk around.which added alot more depth to the experience of the whole event. In each rrom displayed  a different msuic, for example;the image on the left is from an artist based in Jamica and the music video itself displays a jamaican party.
Viewing all the different music videos really allowed us explore how we can embed creativity and the element of surprise into my group and I music video to make sure it stands out. From viewing the exhibition,we learnt that narrative based music videos can really intrigue viewers-which is what we will pursue as our music will tell a story about a couple's story. What the exhibition did not display was characters lip-syncing-which we will be vital to include in our music video to create a direct relationship with the viewer and the person lip-syncing,as well as eye-contacts between subjects so the viewer becomes an 'observer'-this is used a lot of the time to establish that two people are a couple-especially as my music video is based on a love song.
